This week's challenge was to see how many pictures you can fit on your layout. My layout is about the Canal Walk in Richmond, VA where I walked the entire length. I would like to go back again.
The "numbers" challenge with 5 pictures, 4 colors, 3 blads, 2 stickers and 1 journaling block had a 2nd part that included rainly day pictures. What could be more raindy day than 13 inches of rain on 9/18/1996. It didn't get that close, but was quite a site
This car does not show up really well. The sunflower was stamped in yellow then restamped in orange gold at the center. The leaves were stamped and then the vein stamped in them.
My sister was a teacher and was at this time a Superintendant of School. She loved apples and had her craft kitchen set up with all of her apple collection.
This uses an embellishment that I have had for some time as well as a number that I had had for a some time as well. This is Dom and I celebrating her 14th birthday at her favorite restaurant, Ron of Japan in Chicago.
This technique is using both dark and light ink on the same stamp. This was as close as I could come to that technique. I stamped on vellum and then attached to my card.
This card was stamped using the kissing technique. You use a flat stamp and stamp that has pattern and kiss the stamps. This shows red, blue and silver stars.
This is a 20 minute layout with torn pictures, and paper that are chalked. This is my layout of pictures from My Sister's Yard taken Memorial Day Weekend. The Yard Art on the Fence are 8x8 pieces of wire that were decorated by each family member that attended the Family Reunion.
This is a lay out of Scraps Only. Even the back ground was a used piece of cardstock. The top mimics the siding on the house. It was like this in my scrap bag. This is a "In Memory Of" as well. My Counsin from Louisiana has just died in the last month. We loved her a great deal.
This is not the normal red, white, and blue. This is a wedding that I attended with a friend of mine. The bride wore a red dress as she was using an Asian theme.
As per normal, I look at things in a different way.
When doing a "In Memory Of" you would think that I would chose someone who is dead. I didn't think in those terms. The "Memory Of" is of my College Room mate. She has turned into a right wing fundamentalist, divorced her husband, and doesn't even speak to me. She has even gone beyond being a Christian to being"out of touch" really beyond belief.
This is my green. I am not Irish so I chose a different kind of green. We are making curtains for my Sister's Great Room. Just give me a Viking (Husqvarna) sewing machine and we are in business.
